Represented applicants. Exclusively, safety, police, fire, Dept. of Corrections, Dept. of Forestry, L.A. County Sheriffs, CHP. Handled cases throughout the state.
Grancell, Lebovitz, Stander, Reubens and Thomas,Ventura, Ca and Calabasas, Ca., 1981
Ultimately became their first new partner. Managed their Ventura and then the Calabasas offices for several years. Along with workers’ compensation defense for years, handled subrogation with several jury trials. Ultimately developed a specialization in handling safety officer cases and representing cities, as well as representing cities on industrial disability retirement cases with safety officers under CalPERS and before the Office of Administrative Hearings.
Legal Counsel to COSIPA (Council of Self Insured Public Agencies), 1982-2012
Presented case law summaries 3-4 times a year at seminars and occasionally participated in panels on safety officer topics.

Certified Specialist, Workers Compensation Law, State Bar of California.
Directly participated in 4 workers compensation fraud cases leading to convictions, 2 with jail sentences and restitution, 2 involving police officers, one with jail time.
While in college I was a civilian employee of the Los Angeles Police Department for 2 years.
